Plastics Operator/Assembler, 2nd Shift (Full-Time)

As a Plastics Operator/Assembler, 2nd shift with Augustine Plastics, Inc. (API), you will play a key role in the production operation and assembly of plastic parts and components for a wide array of industries.  Remove and receive plastic parts from molding machines and inspect parts in accordance with detailed work instructions.  Work Monday to Friday, 2nd shift, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM with shift differential pay.  Entry-level position with training provided.  API offers a Comprehensive Benefits Package.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Remove and receive plastic parts from molding machines.
• Follow written Work Instructions that explain in-process inspection, assembly, packaging, etc.
• Perform secondary operations as required. Examples: Labeling, Milling, Heat Insertion, Pad Printing, Hot Stamping, Ultrasonic Welding, etc.
• Use hand tools and air tools to process and complete finished goods.
• Visually inspect parts to ensure that they meet Quality standards.
• Properly prepare Quality documentation as required.
• Perform all tasks in a timely manner to meet measured production goals/targets.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude towards others.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Basic mathematics skills
• Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Excellent communications skills
• Negative Panel Drug Screen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior manufacturing or assembly work preferred, but not required

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalency (GED) required
• No experience necessary, training provided

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8-hour shift
• 2nd shift, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• Shift differential pay
• Overtime as needed
