Production Manager, CNC Manufacturing (Full-Time)
$75,000–$135,000 DOE
As the Production Manager with Augustine Die & Mold, Inc. (ADM), you will successfully lead our manufacturing production team through effective employee engagement, responsive customer service, and strong technical knowledge that can be implanted with key employees, while cultivating and maintaining a positive production culture. The Production Manager is responsible for day-to-day tasks to assist the Operations Manager in all aspects of the shop. ADM offers a Comprehensive Benefits Package.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Lead the production team in manufacturing as well as quality, maintenance, and safety.
- Manage the priorities of the projects in the shop to ensure on-time production of quality components and assemblies to customer requirements.
- Supervise Tool & Die Maker and CNC positions; assess team members’ performance and support training and development activities to build on strengths and weaknesses.
- Learn and master effective utilization of the ERP/MRP System.
- Ensure that all jobs are properly tracked and employees’ times on all jobs are logged and correctly reported in the Shop Packets.
- Monitor jobs and schedules for on-time completion, quality, and efficiency.
- Provide continual input to the Operations Manager regarding the status of jobs and their completion dates.
- Perform programming and editing of parts.
- Set up CNC machines (multiaxis vertical and horizontal lathes and mills, and wire and sinker EDM).
- Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
- Troubleshoot jobs that are not running well due to issues with tooling, material, program, or operator.
- Use process improvements to reduce setup time and machining; provide constant feedback and input within the department.
- Assist in organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment.
- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
- Perform all duties in accordance with requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016 Rev. D Quality Management Systems.
- Attend scheduled meetings and actively participate by providing meaningful input.
- Safely and responsively perform all tasks as warranted or assigned by management.
- Conduct evaluations of employee performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- CNC machining experience
- Programming experience (preferably GibbsCAM) and developing CNC machining processes
- Management experience in a CNC manufacturing facility
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
- Tool selection and fixture design experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma/GED/technical training required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 7–10 years of CNC machining experience required
- 3–5 years of programming and developing CNC machining processes required
- 1–3 years of management experience in a CNC manufacturing facility required
- 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting required
- Tool selection and fixture design experience required

Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Overtime as needed
- May include an occasional weekend day to meet production needs
